Meet the Owner

Catherine McClure, MA, BCBA, LBA
Owner and Founder

Catherine’s journey in the field of ABA started when she discovered her passion for helping children as a camp counselor in her early 20s. This early experience ignited a lifelong commitment to supporting children and their families.

Catherine earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Saint Anselm College in 2009 and her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of South Florida in 2012. She became a Board Certification Behavior Analyst in 2013 and is a Licensed Behavior Analyst in Massachusetts and New York.

With over a decade of experience, Catherine has provided ABA therapy in homes, centers, schools, and community settings. Her expertise extends to overseeing the growth of ABA centers across several states, making quality thearpy accessible to those woh need it.

Catherine relocated with her family to Western New York in 2024 shortly following the birth of her son. She founded Lake Effect ABA to provide a needed resource that addresses a critical gap in services for families in the region. Catherine is driven to provide families with the highest standard of care, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

In her free time, Catherine can be found chasing her toddler around alongside her husband (a Buffalo native), spending time outdoors, and watching sports (go Bills!).
