Your ABA Journey
From Assessment to Achievement
1
A BCBA completes an assessment of your child’s skills and behaviors. It usually takes 2-3 hours and the BCBA will identify your child’s strengths and areas for growth.
2
The BCBA will write a treatment plan that identifies the goals to be targeted during therapy, among other specifics. This will be submitted to your child’s insurance company for approval.
3
Services will begin once approved by insurance. If your child is participating in one of our 1:1 therapy tracks, therapy will begin with their Behavior Therapist.
4
The BCBA will meet with you regularly for caregiver collaboration sessions to review progress, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure that you feel comfortable using techniques in daily life.
5
The BCBA will reassess your child’s progress every 6 months and update their treatment plan. The updates will be sent to your child’s insurance company to approve ongoing services.
6
When your child meets the discharge criteria outlined in the treatment plan, therapy hours will be gradually reduced until they no longer need ABA.
